Current Research : Cancer Surveillance Using Health Claims-Based Data System

This program announcement (PA-04-012) invites investigator-initiated grant applications for research to investigate the utility of health claims information as a reporting source for assessing the national cancer burden. Responses to this program announcement (PA) would initiate mechanisms to expand understanding of the capability of and methods needed to use claims data for cancer surveillance as well as applying these findings to the claims data in order to assess all aspects of cancer surveillance, such as cancer screening, incidence, treatment, and outcomes. Projects funded under the previous PAs, PA-02-006, PA-99-015, and PA-95-069, are included in the grants list. It is anticipated that this PA will be renewed upon expiration.

This list contains grants carried over from prior fiscal years and new grants awarded in the current fiscal year.
