Veronica Chollette is the Coordinator of the Small Grants Program for Behavioral Research in Cancer Control and Program Director in the Applied Cancer Screening Research Branch of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Ms. Chollette received her M.S. degree in Health Systems Management from George Mason University in January 2003, her B.S.N. degree from George Mason University in 1998. She joined the NCI in 1989, and has made significant and increasingly important contributions to the extramural investigators (new and experienced) in the area of research mentoring and technical support. In addition to maintaining a cancer screening grant portfolio, she facilitates the implementation of a variety of assistance workshops, training sessions, and Web-based educational opportunities for novice extramural researchers to increase their understanding of the National Institutes of Health grant system and grantwriting process.
