Suzanne C. Thompson

Suzanne C. Thompson is a professor of psychology at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. She has done extensive research on perceived control, including its effects on coping and stress reduction, how people judge their control, and illusory control, the tendency to overestimate personal control. Dr. Thompson has funding from NSF to study dispositional and situational influences on personal risk assessment.
