Final notice: Letters of interest welcomed for Branch Chief position by February 28
The Behavioral Research Program (BRP) within the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences welcomes letters of interest from senior scientists to serve as Chief of the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch (HCIRB)

HCIRB advances research on the processes and effects of communication and informatics across the cancer control continuum. The Branch Chief will lead a dedicated staff to develop innovative research initiatives and encourage development in broad scientific areas such as patient‐provider communication, cancer risk communication, health literacy, social/new media, and connected health.
The pre-announcement seeks letters of interest in anticipation of the official announcement for a career position with the U.S. government, which will be posted on www.usajobs.gov when available.
Qualified candidates should possess a PhD, ScD, MD or equivalent; hold an exceptional publication and funding trajectory; and maintain a proven track record in cancer communication research. Effective leadership experience with scientific expertise in health communication, medical informatics, computer science, health psychology, social science, or other relevant field is required.
