Sarah Bruce Bernal, MA, is a Program Analyst for the Implementation Science Team in the Office of the Director in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at the National Cancer Institute. She manages communication activities and provides program analysis for the IS Team. Sarah leads training activities including the Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health, Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Cancer, and has delivered other implementation science trainings internationally, in partnership with NCI’s Center for Global Health and United States Agency for International Development. Sarah also participated in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) International Experience and Technical Assistance Program at CDC South Africa within the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Coordination Office managing interagency efforts for activities funded under PEPFAR towards the implementation of an integrated HIV/AIDS program.

Sarah came to NCI from the Food and Drug Administration holding roles in the Immediate Office of the Commissioner and Office of International Programs, where she worked on various projects related to Agency and Center-wide programs, communication, consumer inquiry, international partnerships, and multilateral relations and harmonization efforts.
