Measure Definition:

The Neighborhood Environment Walkability Scale (NEWS) is a comprehensive and widely used instrument for measuring neighborhood characteristics based on 68 items concerning perceptions of multiple aspects of the environment such as land use mix, safety and connectivity (Saelens et al. 2003).
