The Context of Poverty

Dr. Mark R. Rank is recognized as one of the foremost experts on issues of poverty, inequality, and social justice. He has written many books, with his most recent “The Poverty Paradox: Understanding Economic Hardship Amid American Prosperity,” examining poverty and inequality, and exploring how poverty is a structural issue that requires systemic changes in order to alleviate it. Dr. Rank will discuss his work and lay out the theories of poverty during this presentation.
