Native American Health

  1. Health Drivers
  2. Research Emphasis Areas
  3. Native American Health

Native American populations (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiian) are exposed to considerable risk factors that significantly increase their likelihood of chronic disease, substance abuse, mental illness, oral disease, and HIV infection. DCCPS is committed to better understanding these health drivers and addressing them through research and interventions.
