The Cancer & Accelerated Aging Initiative seeks to identify scientific research needs at the intersection of cancer and aging, encourage integration of aging-related endpoints into cancer treatment and survivorship studies, and build a transdisciplinary research portfolio to optimize healthy aging for cancer survivors.
At the think tank meeting “Strategies to Prevent or Remediate Cancer- and Treatment-Associated Aging,” the second in the series for this initiative, we will strive to elucidate intervention approaches that prevent or mitigate the short- and long-term consequences of cancer and cancer treatment. Through this work we aim to identify areas of scientific research need and to produce a strategic and unified vision to further our research agenda.
