Rachelle Smith, PhD, is a Presidential Management Fellow completing a four-month rotation in the NCI Office of Cancer Survivorship (OCS), part of the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). In her role, she is developing a yearlong series to support newly funded researchers in survivorship, in addition to other scientific projects.
Dr. Smith is an NCI-designated PMF in the class of 2023. She is exploring roles in communications, policy, and grants. She came to NCI after completing a PhD in Chemistry at Oregon State. During her time in graduate school, she was actively involved in teaching and planning an international conference, and she served as a lab manager for her research group.
