Annabelle Uy, M.S., is a program analyst for the Implementation Science Team in the Office of the Director in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at the National Cancer Institute. She is also the manager of Research-Tested Intervention Programs (RTIPs) and oversees the evidence-based resource tool on the Cancer Control P.L.A.N.E.T. portal. It is designed to provide program planners and public health practitioners with easy and immediate access to research-tested materials for use in a community or clinical setting. To promote RTIPs, she collaborates across federal agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (The Guide to Community Preventive Services) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (Healthy People 2020 Evidence Resources Tool). In 2015, she was also a team member of the HHS Ignite Project “Evidence-Based Intervention Implementation Accelerator,” which helped behavioral researchers get their programs into practice to have an impact on public health.
