About Cancer Survivorship

The Office of Cancer Survivorship (OCS) was created in 1996 to promote a better understanding of the unique needs of the growing population of cancer survivors and to enhance our ability to address those needs. The OCS is housed within the National Cancer Institute’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences. There are approximately 50 researchers and practitioners throughout the division and institute who are experts in various areas of survivorship. For more information, go to Survivorship Program Contacts at NCI.
