Crystal Reed, MHA, is a health scientist administrator in the NCI Office of Cancer Survivorship (OCS), within the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). Ms. Reed serves as the operations lead, responsible for the planning and execution of activities related to program management in OCS. She manages several cross-division scientific initiatives, working closely with OCS leadership to provide oversight for strategic activities related to cancer survivorship.  She leads operations for internal and external OCS collaborations and coordinates the facilitation of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Primary Care Working Group as well as steering committees and other scientific working groups within NCI. Ms. Reed was responsible for the planning and execution of the Enhancing Capacity for Primary Care Research in Cancer Survivorship Workshop, which led to the development of a community of research practice focused on advancing the science for primary care and survivorship services (INSPiRE). Ms. Reed also co-mentors students and trainees on survivorship issues; her focus areas include health equity and health disparities, mental health, primary care and cancer survivorship, and long-term cancer survivorship.

Prior to joining OCS, Ms. Reed served as a health science and policy analyst in the Office of the Associate Director of the DCCPS Healthcare Delivery Research Program (HDRP). Additionally, she has held several NIH contractor roles with NCI, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. She has over 20 years of experience managing numerous health-related contracts and several years of grants management experience focusing on health disparities. In these roles, she focused on project and relationship management, as well as research focused on health equity, access to care, social determinants of health, and policy barriers as they relate to disparate and underserved populations.
