Nicole Gottlieb Saiontz, MHS, serves as communications lead for the NCI Office of Cancer Survivorship (OCS), part of the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). In this position, she oversees the development and dissemination of survivorship-related information to the office’s diverse audiences, including the cancer survivorship research community, healthcare providers, policy makers, advocates, and cancer survivors and their caregivers. She directs all survivorship-related communications projects and requests for the division. In addition, she collaborates on scientific projects and initiatives led by OCS, including portfolio analyses, meetings, and scientific papers, and is responsible for the promotion of NCI survivorship activities via a range of outlets including print, online, and social media. Ms. Saiontz also provides support for additional communications activities in the DCCPS Office of the Director.
Prior to joining the division in 2009, Ms. Saiontz served as acting chief of the NCI Press Office, as well as a senior writer/editor for the NCI Office of Communications. She came to NCI in 1999 as a Health Communications Intern in the NCI Press Office.
