Facing Forward: Making a Difference in Cancer (August 2018 Update)

NCI Office of Advocacy Relations (OAR)

OAR is NCI’s principal conduit for engaging the cancer advocacy community. Learn about opportunities for advocates to participate in research and other NCI-sponsored activities.

NCI Council of Research Advocates (NCRA)

NCRA is NCI’s only federal advisory committee comprised solely of advocate leaders at NCI. The group makes recommendations to NCI’s director, from the perspective and viewpoint of a cancer research advocate on a wide variety of issues, programs, and research priorities.

Learn about ASCO’s practice recommendations for specific areas of cancer.

NCCN Guidelines® for Survivorship

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NNCN) Guidelines for survivorship focus on eight common impacts of cancer diagnosis and treatment, and include a sample assessment tool. NCCN is an alliance of 23 cancer centers around the country.
