Moonshot funding opportunities and pre-application webinars: Participant Engagement and Cancer Genome Sequencing (PE-CGS)

As part of the Cancer Moonshot℠, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to support the Participant Engagement and Cancer Genome Sequencing (PE-CGS) Network.

The overall purpose of the PE-CGS Network is twofold:

  • To promote and support direct engagement of cancer patients and post-treatment cancer survivors as participants in cancer research; and
  • To use such approaches for rigorous cancer genome sequencing programs addressing important knowledge gaps in the genomic characterizations of tumors.

Two new Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) will support the Network's components:

Visit the FOA pages (linked above) for details on research interest areas, eligibility, budget, how to apply, and more. The application due date is October 30, 2019, by 5:00 p.m. local time of the submitting institution.

Learn more in two pre-application webinars presented by the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences:

Submit questions in advance to NCI_PE-CGS@mail.nih.gov. Note: While questions about the scope of the FOAs will be addressed during the webinar, questions about investigators' specific study aims will not.

For more information about these FOAs and webinars, email NCI_PE-CGS@mail.nih.gov.
