Geospatial Approaches to Cancer Control and Prevention

Dr. Michelle Kondo, a research scientist with the USDA Forest Service, discussed her quasi-experimental and experimental research of place-based interventions in urban areas and their effects on human health and safety outcomes. She shared findings from her studies of urban greening and blight remediation programs, such as vacant lot greening, abandoned building remediation, and green stormwater infrastructure.
