Michelle Doose, PhD, MPH

Michelle Doose, PhD, MPH, is a program director in the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch (HCIRB) of the Behavioral Research Program. Dr. Doose also serves as a Cancer Care Delivery Research Project Scientist for the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). Her scientific interests include effective communication and coordination to optimize patient-care team relationships for cancer survivors, especially those with multiple chronic conditions. She is also interested in advancing research on long-term cancer survivorship, primary care capacity for cancer survivorship care, and health system and community level interventions.  

Dr. Doose received her PhD from Rutgers School of Public Health. She is a graduate of RWJF's Health Policy Research Scholar Program, a national leadership development program. She holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health Sciences with a specialization in health education and health promotion from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and bachelor's degrees in Spanish and International Studies with an emphasis in Latin America studies from Pepperdine University.
