Michele Fisher became a federal employee at NCI in 2009 as an extramural support assistant, supporting the Health Behaviors Research Branch in the DCCPS Behavioral Research Program (BRP). Ms. Fisher is currently a program specialist for the Office of the Associate Director, BRP, preparing domestic and foreign travel and assisting with scheduling meetings and conference rooms. She is a mentor to Makala Singletary-Black within DCCPS. Ms. Fisher has been participating in the BRP mentoring program since 2021. In BRP she has worked in budget and grants, as well as personnel/recruitment onboarding within the Fellowship Payment System (FPS). Ms. Fisher attended Bowie State University in Maryland and majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Business.
