You can now apply to NCI funding for Basic Experimental Studies with Humans (BESH), a new path that differentiates the standards for basic experimental research from those for clinical trials. Investigators working with humans as part of basic experimental research, including behavioral social sciences and population studies, can now avoid certain types of registration and reporting on ClinicalTrials.gov.
