Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) Webinars
As part of the Cancer Moonshot℠, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to support the Participant Engagement and Cancer Genome Sequencing (PE-CGS) Network. The Network’s overall purpose is twofold:
- To promote and support direct engagement of cancer patients and post-treatment cancer survivors as participants in cancer research; and
- To use such approaches for rigorous cancer genome sequencing programs addressing important knowledge gaps in the genomic characterizations of tumors.
Two Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) will support the Network’s components:
- Several U2C Research Centers (RFA-CA-19-045) centered on addressing unique research knowledge gaps in the genomic characterizations of tumors.
- One U24 Coordinating Center (RFA-CA-19-046), which will facilitate trans-network collaborative activities.
In this webinar, representatives from the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) discussed frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the two FOAs. An earlier webinar, on August 7, introduced both FOAs and answered audience questions.
