Optimizing Cancer Pain Evaluation and Management

In this webinar, three experts addressed psychological barriers to optimal cancer pain assessment and management. They discussed how the inherent uncertainties in the evaluation of cancer pain among patients and survivors open the window for attitudes and biases to influence health care providers’ accurate assessment of pain. They also highlighted the importance of examining the complex nonverbal dynamics that occur during patient-provider interactions.
