Optimizing Cancer Pain Evaluation and Management

In this webinar, two experts will address critical challenges in the evaluation and management of cancer pain when patient self-report is difficult or impossible. Presenters will summarize barriers to measuring pain in patients with communication difficulties and discuss alternative available methods. Additionally, the session will introduce emerging human-centered computer-aided multimodal sensing systems designed to improve pain assessment and lay the groundwork for further study in this area.

The Optimizing Cancer Pain Evaluation and Management Webinar Series is co-hosted by the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences and Division of Cancer Prevention. This webinar series explores understudied topics in cancer pain management with a focus on approaches to optimize cancer pain evaluation and management for all.
