The CASPHR group and its individual members have organized symposia, workshops, and talks for various conferences. Typically, these events include a mix of CASPHR members and other investigators conducting research on relevant topics.
Members of CASPHR also actively participate in national and international conferences. The overarching purpose of conference participation is to advance the interface between social/personality and health research. For conferences within the field of social/personality psychology, involvement often showcases how health domains provide an exciting and important area to which both classic and contemporary social/personality theory and research can be applied and developed. For conferences within health-oriented fields, involvement often highlights the social and personality research contribution to understanding domains of health behavior.
